If your broker defines a gold pip as 0.10 of a dollar, one pip on a standard 100-ounce lot is 10 dollars, one dollar on 0.10 lots and ten cents on 0.01 lots. If the pip is defined as 0.01, divide all of those by ten.
One dollar per ounce is always 100 dollars on a standard 100-ounce gold lot because contract size is what pays you. A 300 pip gold stop at the 0.10 convention is 30 dollars per ounce, or 3,000 dollars on a single standard lot.
